Name: Mohammad Muzammil .Two years ago, I finished my postgraduate studies in industrial chemistry in my home country, India. I wanted to start the research in drug delivery for my doctorate studies. Despite having low hopes, I decided to apply for the doctorate’s program in chemical science. I put a lot of effort into my application and I was thrilled to find out, a few days later, that I had been awarded Royal Society of Chemistry Researcher Award - United Kingdom- 2019, and currently I am working with the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom.
While searching for funding opportunities, I came across the well established PEH scholarship program, Ahmadabad. The scholarship was not only based on financial needs but also took into academic achievements. I applied and could not believe it when I was received a PHP scholarship for my doctorate studies. I was able to concentrate fully on my academic research studies and my education did not put a financial burden on my family and me also.
Your support has allowed me to be one step closer to my research goal and has inspired to help others by giving back to the muslim community. I hope one day, I will be able to help other students achieve their goal just as you have helped me
Inshallah, after my Ph.D., I am planning to do a post-doc and I believe that my academic qualifications and the awards therein prove my ability to successfully adapt to new professional environments. I also believe that I can stand up to the standards required by a professional workplace.
Once again thanks to this PEH scholarship, I hope that my experience can serve as an example of the importance of sponsoring students who do not have the financial resources to study in India or abroad.
